We are back to work after a super fast 4 days of fun in the cities. The bachelorette party on Lake Minnetonka was a good time. It would have been nice to stay longer but we had tickets to the Vikings game. We stayed until the 3rd quarter when they were leading and got back to the hotel just in time to see the Steelers win at the end which we figured would happen!

The State Fair was fantabulous (as always) and Alayna was REALLY good. She loved seeing all of the animals. At night when there weren’t as many people she would walk/run up and down the aisles in the swine barn and would occasionally squat down to pet an ear or nose that was sticking out of the pen. She definitely is an animal lover like mom and dad and has no fear at this point. We walked A LOT over the 3 days and she had no problems hoping in the stroller each day to cruise. We put on a lot of miles which is probably good since we ate a lot. She also had her share of fair food…..cheese curds, breaded cauliflower, fried ravioli, smelt (fish), tacos and lemonade. We are hoping it would fatten her up a bit! I showed pigs on Tuesday and my dad’s all were in the middle of the pack. He thought we would have done better but it was still fun. It was nice to see the friendly faces that we only see once a year. I know we just had a couple days off but we are looking forward to a 3-day weekend….isn’t that terrible! We don’t have too much planned so I hope we can relax. Brad is helping his sister’s family move and hopes to get out fishing. He has had the last 2 weekends off as well as the next two which is awesome. I absolutely love it. Fall SB starts next Thursday, then VB in a month and we signed Alayna up for swimming lessons plus we have two weddings coming up so it looks like fall will fly by as quickly as summer did.
