Sorry for being such a slacker in this department! Work has been really busy for both of us this past week but we REALLY appreciate that since the "bloody Monday" and all of the layoffs that have been going on. We are quite thankful that we have jobs. Anyway, I'll try to recap the highlights of the past week:
Sunday - Had a nice supper with Brad's siblings and their families at Mexican Village (I love eating there but don't like how I smell when I leave)
Monday - Good news: Was asked to be a bridesmaid in a good friend's wedding. Played volleyball and saw my friend Tracy's baby girl & Bad news: Heard my cousin was "let go" from her management job in the cities.
Tuesday - Alayna has a nice runny nose and cough
Wednesday - Bad news: Prognosis of Brad's dad who has esophageal cancer. Good time: Volleyball was so much fun especially visiting with friends afterwards
Thursday - Brad and Alayna hung out while I met some girlfriends at Dino's for pizza and wine. Even though we don't see each other much, it is just just like old times and we talk forever. We had the best time and are going to make a point to hook up once a month and do a "girls weekend" trip in the fall. We even put it in writing on the Dino's pizza box and all signed it!
Friday - I woke up with half a voice, LOL! Me talk a lot? I know...hard to believe. Found out that my grandpa has a urinary tract infection which may have caused the back pain (in addition to the stress fractures in his back from a fall a couple months ago). Brad went ice fishing after work. Alayna and I went shopping for birthday presents (2 nieces and 1 nephew) and then came home to clean and relax.
