Highlights from MN State fair

State Fair is one of the highlights of our summer! Unfortunately, we started out the trip by having no cell phones (our car charger fried both of them!) and making a trip to the ER because we woke up Sun night to Alayna shaking in bed, having a fever and getting sick in grandma & grandpa's camper. Alayna was definitely not herself but was such a trooper and still went on rides and went through the barns several times!
Alayna watched the pigs being unloaded; well equiped with her chore boots and whip.
She fed the pigs with Grandpa every day
Went on rides every day...whales, bees, airplanes, carousel, swings, train, ferris wheel, etc......Enjoyed the Lil' Farm Hands Barn Display where she got grain from a bin, drove tractor (below), fed grain to sheep and took bag of wool, fed grain to cows and milked fake one, took box of milk, picked apples and planted veggies then "sold her goods" for play money which she could use at the grocery store to buy a box of cereal or can of veggies. It was really fun to watch her go through it!
Brad took her down the Giant Slide and she said WEE-HAW and had a huge grin when she got to the bottom!
She made many trips to the Miracle of Birth center and made sure to pet everything. She also fell in love with the cows and we walked through the cattle barn several times. She liked watching them at milking time and petting the calves.

We stayed at the fair from Sun afternoon (after spending the day at Como Zoo) thru Tuesday and it never is quite long enough!
