Time to hit the park

Last weekend we had so much fun playing outside and getting stuff done around the house. I took Alayna to the library where they had a celebration for Dr. Seuss' birthday party who would be 106 years old. Bethany Lutheran college kids put on a couple skits and Alayna's favorite was 3 little pigs...imagine that! Then we enjoyed a ventriloquist who had a series of puppets. Alayna liked Sweat Pea the Elephant because she would squirt water from her trunk onto the crowd of kids. Through the whole thing Alayna was really quiet. It was close to nap time and I thought she was going to be crabby but she talked about it the WHOLE way home and was so excited to tell Brad about it. After her nap and Brad got home from work, we headed to the Jose Cole circus in St. Peter and had Dairy Queen treats on the way home. Sunday we played outside with the dogs and went to Tourtelotte park. We smelled someone grilling hotdogs and that sure was a nice sign that spring is here!
We picked out her Easter dress and a windbreaker coat plus a couple outfits. She wears 3T shirts and some 4T because she has long torso and arms but the pants are kinda tricky. The 3T have good length but are always too wide so we have to look for an adjustable waist. We measured her the other day and she is 37 1/2"! That is probably average but seems to be growing like a weed to us. She is still a peanut though as she isn't even 30 pounds. Not sure how she can't be as she eats and eats! I remember being like that.........oh so LONG ago....well I still eat and eat but am no longer a twig, haha.

This week we have been to the park 3 of the 4 days and Alayna has been out for walks and playing outside at daycare. It is so nice for the kids to get out during the day.
