Saturday morning we had Alayna's birthday party at the Creative Play Place in the St. Peter Community Center. We decided to do a Castle Theme (other themes included pet vet, little baker, ice cream shoppe, under the sea, diggin for dinos) and was very pleased with April and the facility. The kids got to dress up, play in a sandbox, castle and toys, 
play a couple games (the Queen says which was similar to Simon says and King-King-Knight which was like Duck-Duck-Grey Duck except the kid who walked around patting kids on the head wore a dragon tail and then whoever was the Knight had to chase him or her and pull the dragon tail), 
listen to the story Puff the Magic Dragon and make a crown or magic wand. Pizza, cake and ice cream followed.
The kids were great and I think they had a good time. The guests included grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, daycare buddies, my cousin's family and great grandpa Rollings. We played at the park for a while and then went home for a nap......great day!
