Garage Sales & ALS walk

Ok, so I am in garage sale mode for some reason so last Saturday my mom and I checked out a couple in North Mankato and Mankato. I didn’t find too much (a coat and winter pj's for Alayna) but my mom bought some videos to put in their camper (classics like Grumpier Old Men, City Slickers and a few Disney ones). I wish we knew if we were having a boy or girl because I could really stock up. Even if we have a girl, I’ll have to get some new things because Alayna was a spring baby so her 0-3 months stuff is spring/summer whereas this baby will need warm 0-3 months clothing! I'm also hoping to find some maternity clothes, too. Our appointment is 12 days away……..can you tell I am anxious?!?! I haven’t started to show yet at 16 weeks but am getting wider so clothes aren’t fitting me right which is super frustrating but exciting at the same time as we await the baby bump! I am hoping to stretch out regular clothes for a few more weeks and then will have to get some maternity clothes since all of the ones I had are for winter.

So while we were out and about my dad took Alayna to a couple parks and then met us at the ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) walk. We could not believe the turn out! We have been participating in this walk for the past 6 years and this was by far the most people and dogs of course. Unfortunately this awful disease has affected so many but everyone looked so happy to be there. We grabbed some food at the Cub Foods deli and went to Sibley Park for a meal. We came home for a nice nap, played outside until Brad got home and then went to Westwood for supper. Brad enjoyed his usual, heart attack burger and we had a good time eating on the deck watching the boats go in and out.
