Wisconsin trip & Brad's weekend off

After Brad got off work on Friday the 4th, we packed up and hit the road. Destination = Appleton, WI. I drove the whole way there which is about 6 hours. I must say it was super relaxing plus that gave Brad & Alayna a chance to rest. We stopped 3 times (once for Brad, once to get a snack, once to get gas) and got to the hotel about 10pm. Alayna is such a good traveler and never asked to stop once. She watched one movie on the way there, had a good nap, ate supper and enjoyed her "blue drink" (aka slushie). Saturday morning we had breakfast in bed, hit the pool then packed up and drove to a nearby park. It was nice for Alayna to get fresh air and play before we went to Jill's party. Oh yea, the reason we drove to Appleton was Brad's cousin's graduation party. We got there about noon and stayed for about 3 hours. It was so nice to visit and see his aunt, uncle and cousins. His oldest cousin Allison and her husband took us over to their new house for a tour. We hit the road and got home about 9:30 only stopping once this time.

Sunday was nice and relaxing. We went to church and stopped by my parents for Alayna to see the pigs and play on the playground. Brad noticed some lumber and tools out by one of the boar pens. My dad was planning to rebuild one and Brad said, "Why not do it now?". So the guys punched it out in no time. I thought it was really nice of him to offer to do that especially on his weekend off! Brad went golfing with his brother Jeff and we went home so Alayna could take a nap before vacation bible school that evening.

Loved the weekend!
