Twins game - 1st time at Target Field

Last Thursday night we headed up to the Twins game. A few years ago Brad and I decided to take our dads to a Twins game for a Father's Day present. We sign up for a game and take a bus up with the local radio station. On the way up we guess the attendance and buy empty squares on a gambling board. The squares are filled in on the way up by drawing playing cards to fill in the scores of Twins and opponent that way we can write down our scores and see if we won or not as each inning had a prize. Brad's dad ALWAYS won something. In fact one year I think he came home with $50+ cash, tickets to MN zoo, Ruttles and Happy Chef gift certificates. He also guessed the closes to the actual attendance award. This year, Bradley won it and was within a couple hundred! When Barry announced that he was the winner, Brad leaned over to me and said, "Got help from my old man on that one". Awwww! He also won an inning on the board so got some cash and free sub at Subway. This year we took my mom and Alayna - here she is after getting TC painted on her cheek.
Alayna and Daddy being silly while my dad has a cold one and checks out the place.
This was our first visit to Target Field and it was an absolute gorgeous night to watch baseball. I grew up watching several games at the Dome plus traveling to see various fields each year. We are avid fans so it was a great experience and this was just one of the many times we will take in a game at the new field.
When going up against the Yankees it is never easy and since we were 0-2 against them, we weren't expecting much but we were pleasantly surprised. The game started out a bit slow but we rocked them and won 8-2! We love a win and we DEFINITELY love beating the Yankees!
