Ultrasound

Our ultrasound was last Wednesday! Everything looked good and the tech was able to get a good view of the heart, spine, extremities, etc. Baby was definitely squirmy but we did see a couple good profile views (tech didn't take a pic tho), one time where baby was blinking while opening and closing the mouth and putting hands up to face. Baby EVEN gave us the thumbs up (better that finger than the naughty one)! It is just amazing. Brad and I oooh'd and aaaah'd the whole time. We are so blessed!

They figure baby is about 9 ounces and growing right on track. The tech was unable to get a good view between the legs so she is leaning towards girl. We were disappointed that we couldn't get a clear shot to know for sure but it does make it that much more exciting. Brad's instinct says girl and my instinct is about half and half this time (for Alayna I was sure it was a girl). We both have had dreams that it is a boy so it is kinda fun to think about which way it will go! We are debating as to whether or not we want to be surprised yet or if we want to try getting a 3D ultrasound. This Thursday we'll be 20 weeks ~ half way there which is hard to believe ~ 4.5 months to go!
