Preschool

Alayna has already gone through 3 weeks of preschool. She has a great time and only had one morning where she didn’t want me to leave. I am so impressed with the amount of things they do at this age and sometimes I don’t want to leave because it looks so fun! It was Alayna’s turn to bring snack last Thursday so we brought goldfish and grapes. Each Thursday they send a folder home of projects that the kids have done plus information for parents (tuition, book orders, fund raisers, stuff needed for upcoming weeks, etc). It is so neat to see her enthusiasm when she shows us what’s in her backpack or sings us a new song that she learned.

Each week they learn a letter and they’ve started working on the first letters of the kid’s names. Last week was the letter N and this week is the letter A. They had to bring an apple on Thursday to make applesauce. They also make trips to the gym where they play with balls, hula hoops and parachute plus they play on the outside playground. Alayna felt pretty special when she got picked to hold the door open for the other kids. I am hoping to stop in and help with future projects if I can – the school encourages parents to visit as well as grandparents which iis nice. She also thinks she’s pretty hot stuff for riding the bus to daycare too. It’s so fun to watch her grow up!
