Animal crackers & Sports Center

Usually bed time has been a pretty solid routine……..we read a book, finish off some milk, daddy brushes her teeth, hugs and kisses, grab a baby or stuffed animal, in the crib she goes and silence. Well we have another sign that we are moving to the next stage as bedtime is getting more difficult. Alayna cried for about 5 minutes and then silence but at 1:30 we heard her crying and found her sitting up in the crib. Nothing we could do could settle her so finally Brad took her to the living room to snack on animal crackers and watch Sports Center. Then the next night she absolutely refused to go at the regular 8:30 so it was about 9:30 after her animal crackers and sports center. So we'll try bedtime a bit earlier and I think cutting her naps a bit shorter to see if that helps. She has also figured out how to do a high pitch scream when she gets annoyed and the does the limp noodle quite well. Oh yes we are officially in the toddler stage! Too bad animal crackers and sports center didn't work on that too! :-)
