Three Hawkers will be Four Hawkers!

You may have already heard the news but if not here it is............(saying with BIG SMILES & LOTS OF ENTHUSIASM) "We are having a baby this fall!!!!" I wanted to wait until this point to spread the news but Bradley couldn't so we started telling family a couple weeks ago and then friends. I decided to wait until we hit our 12 week mark before I posted on our blog. Silly? Old fashioned? I guess but it made me feel better :-). Our due date is October 7th and considering how fast January, February and March has gone I am guessing October will be here before we know it! Our next appointment is in 2 weeks which seems like forever but we will be busy this weekend and all next week plus Alayna's birthday is Friday, April 2nd. We are having her party on Saturday the 3rd and then it will be Easter already!

Alayna is really excited about being a big sister and we both think she will be quite helpful. She is so anxious, in fact, that when I came home from the first appointment she asked, "Where is it?" and I responded by asking what she meant and she replied, "My baby brother or sister?". Too funny! We explained that baby was growing in mom's tummy and we had to wait. We took out the belly pics and told her that mom's belly had to get that big first. She thought that was hilarious and keeps telling me how huge my belly is going to be. At first she referred to baby as Baby Max, which I think she got from the cartoon Max & Ruby. Now she calls it Evelyn (her middle name). The other day we were at Hy-Vee hilltop in Mankato and went down the toy aisle. She quickly walked through and pointed at toys she liked. Brad and I told her that she didn't need anything and could just look. She quickly stated, "I want to get something to share with my brother or sister." Oh yes, she is a smooth one!!!! We didn't give in to that one (nice try) but did get a good laugh from it!
