Alayna's first camp

Alayna attended the Wee Backpackers camp at the YMCA. It is like a preparation for preschool aged kids. She was a little hesitant at first but the teachers said she did well each day. Camp was Tues, Wed, Thurs from 9-11:30 so my dad dropped her off and picked her up. He even took her took lunch with me one day, my mom one day and then to songs on the lawn in Mankato. She really had a great time and told us all about it each day! Each day the camp had themes where they read books, sang songs, did activities and made crafts plus got a snack.
  • Nature day - Went on nature walk, got a magnifying glass to see insects, painted a rock, brought home trail mix snack
  • Jungle day - Trip to playground (got cancelled due to weather), played in YMCA, made binoculars and safari things, brought home animal crackers
  • Ocean day - Made flying turtle and tambourine plus fish picture, played outside in sand with bubbles and sidewalk chalk, brought home goldfish snacks
