Baking with Grandma - Feb 13

The day before Valentine's day I made an appointment for a massage with my friend, Mindy who works at Pathways. It was awesome! I dropped off Alayna at my parents before hand and she baked heart cookies with my mom to give to Bradley.

She had a little flour on her face
She checked out the pigs with Grandpa and had to wake up Uga (one of the boars) so she could see him. My parents were heading to the camper show in Kato so we decided to meet at Guenther's cafe. This is what used to be Hilltop Tavern (aka Hamburger Heaven) for several years and is where I used to waitress in high school. As soon as I walked up to the door, the smell of fried onions brought back great memories! I spent many hours peeling potatoes for their famous potato salad, pouring 1919 rootbeer, serving burgers and taking orders from locals, regulars and out of towners.
Took Alayna home for nap time and once Brad got home from a 12-hour shift, we went over to his brother's to celebrate birthday's for 3 of his kids: Jordan turned 13 on February 4th, Breanna turned 10 on January 24th and Carter turned 5 on February 14th. The kids had a fun time!

hi! i randomly found your blog while looking for hamburger heaven/hilltop tavern. I work for Guenther's and am assisting them with making a new logo. Do you happen to have any photos of the outside of the building? I know that it is a longshot, but it would really help us out!

Hello! I am sorry I don't have any photos of the building. Have you contacted the Braam family? I bet they have several. Best of luck to you!
